Marine Engineer for an expanding company.

Marine Fluid Technology A/S is looking for a Marine Engineer with an innovative mindset to support our developing business with installation & system implementation onboard vessels and provide excellent After Sale services. As a Marine Engineer at MFT you will be working directly with the customer on site. Marine Fluid Technology develops and sell a range of marine lubrication systems, with objective to reduce the overall oil consumption onboard each vessel and further improve engine component lifetimes. We continuously push the boundaries and traditional standards and are persistently working to re-use oils normally being disposed, by proper cleaning processes and then blend fit-for-purpose cylinder oil onboard each vessel.

The Job

As a Marine Engineer in MFT, you will be working in a small company based in Copenhagen, with 4 other colleagues. The size of the company also mean you will be close to the daily decision making and your input will have big influence on our daily technical managing and operational task related to the SEA-Mate products. You will be in close dialogue with customers and suppliers, and you will be exposed to a range of different challenges, requiring interest and ability to find customer friendly solutions.

As we are always looking for new and more efficient solutions within marine lubrication, we expect you have a desire to explore new ideas and determine the feasibility of these ideas. You will also play a big part in our developing of new innovating technical solutions & procedures all to improve the core of our business which is to improve the engine running condition and secure a cost leadership for the shipowners we work with.

You are expected to be interested and willing to travel globally, attending vessels where required.

Job description

  • After-sale service to support customer requirements on delivery of spare parts and technical solutions
  • On-board attendance for product installation, commissioning, and training
  • Data analysis from vessels and provide guidance to vessels for optimum lubrication• Ensure that the supplier network supports the commercial strategy • Product development to enhance customer offerings
  • Certification and validation of products and quality
  • Innovation and identification of new products and partners
  • Performance benchmarking
  • Technical sales – supporting the sales team
  • Technical support to local sales agents and distributor’s


The ideal candidate is a great communicator, highly organized and diligent, a skilled problem solver, personable and persistent.

  • You can identify and understand customer needs and requirements
  • You provide excellent on-time technical services to our customers
  • Marine Engineer by education
  • You are an extrovert person, a good conversation starter, but also a good listener.
  • Sailing experience is not a requirement, but it is an advantage.
